Life...sometimes

I am a connection I never knew was there...

Dude...I think I forgot to flush the toilet when I took my numero deux downstairs. I have an excuse though...the toilet I usually use to do my business is an auto-flush toilet...and today I had to go downstairs, becuase my throne was occupied. Damn man, I hope no one knows it was me...that would be REALLY embarrassing...

Sacrifices come in all sizes, big, small, huge, what have you. From the little sacrifices we make each day, such as mom or dad's sacrifice of their own TV time to let the kids watch cartoons, to the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for us, each one has its own significance. And sometimes, sacrifices need to be recognized, lest they disappear into the abyss. And one might seem indifferent, or seem not to care at all when not recognizing said sacrifices. As much as it is important to make sacrifices however, it is equally important to fight for certain things that matter to you. Sometimes, you just cannot sacrifice certain things so readily. And when all else fails, compromise through communication.

On a side note...
While looking up the phone number for St Augustine, my old elementary school, I stumbled upon a memorial page for the old Pastor, Reverend Ian E. Holland. Back then, I just knew him as Father Holland, and later, when I got into high school, Monseignor Holland. He was always one of the nicest priests. Serving mass, seeing him at school, and just talking to him on random occasions, he was always positive. He passed away in 2002, and I didn't even go. I guess I felt a little detached at that point. I remember hearing about it, but I wasn't affected that much. I regret not having talked to him more after I left school, but that's just how things went. I read up on his biography on that memorial site and found out he actually graduated from Loyola! We were fellow alumni and never even knew it. Kinda crazy how everyone's connected somehow in more than one way...weird how some things can hit you so much later in life... Rest in Peace Father Holland.

Mudrun rocked! Here's the pics...

The only thing that sucked was that Jovan and me both had the runs during the run :(
